GALEANO SALAS WINS THE 3RD ÉVA MARTON INTERNATIONAL SINGING COMPETITION
2018.09.16
Galeano Salas collected the Grand Prix of the 3rd International Éva Marton Singing Competition organised by the Liszt Academy. He also won the Audience prize and received invitations from the Bartók Plus Opera Festival, the Filharmonia Hungary, the Hungarian State Opera, the Miskolc National Theatre and the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra.
"Only rarely does it happen that the audience and the jurors unanimously pick out someone. Already when he sang Liszt’s Sonetto 104 del Petrarca in the Priliminary round, I seriously suspected that he was going to accomplish excellent results. It was an indescribable emotional experience: I had never heard this song interpreted like this, especially not by a foreign artist. After this, we naturally paid special attention to his other performances.”

GALEANO STEPS IN FOR RINUCCION AT BAYERISCHE STAATSOPER
2017.12.23
Galeano Salas jumped in for an ill Pavol Breslik during the livestream performance of the new Bayerische Staatsoper production of Giacomo Puccini's Il Trittico under the baton of Kirill Petrenko. He sang that evening to critical acclaim from the side of the stage and acted and sang the subsequent performance on December 27th, 2017.
